ABOUT
From Texas to Tuscany…
The word Texas comes from tejas, meaning “friendly.” This same congenial spirit is at the heart of Reflections of Tuscany, founded by Cheryl and Dennis Soderquist, bringing their gift of hospitality and enthusiasm for adventure to every small-group retreat.
A Journey That Became a Calling
While visiting Italy to celebrate their 25th anniversary in December of 2015, the idea for Reflections of Tuscany was born. What began as a personal love for the lifestyle of the Tuscan people and their traditions and cuisine, grew into something more: a way to share this simple, heart-felt beauty with like-minded travelers. Cheryl and Dennis hosted their first Reflections of Tuscany Retreat in 2017 - Art & Cooking - in a remote mountain village in the Apennines.
Meet Your Hosts
Cheryl brings warmth to every table. As an accomplished chef and natural teacher, she loves introducing guests to the flavors, stories, and people that make Tuscany unforgettable. In the past several years, she has spent time with Tuscan artisans, learning their traditions firsthand. Her attention to detail and gift of hospitality bring every moment of the trip to life.
Dennis brings a background in management and construction—and a guitar always close by—he ensures trips run smoothly while adding a personal touch to evenings and excursions.
Together, they make guests feel less like tourists and more like welcomed friends.
